Greetings ~

The last time you went to the grocery store, Walmart or Target, and you saw that line of shopping carts in the parking lot. Did you wonder, what could I do with one of those? Of course you didn't. You were only thinking of that apple pie or those pickled eggs or whatever you had gone for. But don't be too surprised to know that there are people out there who actually see a shopping cart as something more that a basket to put the carton of ice cream into. They see it as a household invention or design.
For a while now, I have had the idea that people today are crazy. Not in a bad way however. In an inventive way or a smart way. People today come up with some really cool ideas of how to transform everyday objects into an art form. But then I remember some of the stuff my dad did. He was a carpenter/electrician/plumber/smart guy. I remember how he made me a free standing traffic light that actually worked and turned green, yellow and red. It stood about six feet tall and was electric. I spent hours outside at the age of six and beyond running my pedal car passed that light. I used to run the red light for the hell of it. I was an evil kid.
He bought me a film projector for one of my earlier birthdays and when he found out that it was battery operated and i loved it and went through batteries like crazy, he switched it to electric and re-wired it for AC. The reason for this roaming through history is that people have always been innovated and if there was something laying around that was trash, they get ideas of what to do with it.
The shopping cart is something that I never gave much attention to. I just figured it was something that came in handy when I needed to get all of my purchases to the checkout and to the car. I guess that was the idea that they guy had when he invented it in the first place. After, all, the shopping cart was an invention too.
